Weekly Reflection
In my first week of senior project, I began my “internship” at the Country Club of New Hampshire with Liam Chapman. I learned a bunch of new things and new people. As I continue to get older I begin to realize the advantage of knowing different people and learning through others' experiences. At the course this week I was able to have a ton of fun and learn at the same time.
The first thing I noticed while at the course was not actually related to golf. At the golf course, we always drive around the course and chat with golfers. As I have done that and just being around the course I have seen the Proctor connection in full effect. So many people I have talked to have some sort of connection to Proctor. Whether they went to Proctor themselves, their child went, or they have a friend/family member who works at Proctor. I learned how impactful the Proctor connection can be and how it can introduce me to so many new people.
I really enjoyed my time this week here at the golf course. Derek has been so nice to Liam and I giving us the employee discount and helping us through our project. I’ve also met so many people on the course and staff members who have taught me a lot. I’ve learned a ton about golf and learned through experiences here throughout my first week.
This first week I have started to work towards my goals for my senior project. I’ve learned a ton about golf and although I haven’t been able to golf myself I think it has made me a better golf player. I also have been able to absorb a ton of information from talking with a lot of new people.
