Throughout senior project, I have seen the effect of the Proctor connection. Today Chap and I took a lap around the course to begin the day and chatted with some golfers as we went around. Often, when you are driving around the course, people will be hitting, so it is only polite to stop and wait for them to take their swing. This leads us to stop a lot and when we do many times we will chat with the golfers if they want to talk. We have already met so many people who have some connection to Proctor. Whether that is if they went themselves, if their kid went, or if they have a friend who works there. It’s cool to see how many people think fondly of the school.

  Blog Post #8 5/17/22 Hours Earned: 5.5 Total Hours: 36.5 We started the day doing maintenance work with Carl. We learned how to and why they wash the batteries of the golf carts.  We also learned how to charge the carts and the types of carts they have at the course. Then Jack Robbie, Meg Patrick, and Nat Daniels came to play a round of 9 with us. We ended the day talking about what we were looking forward to tomorrow and checking in with Rocky at the bar.   Blog Post #10 5/19/22 Hours Earned: 5.5 Total Hours: 45.5  Today the big thing I accomplished was my first day of putting. I felt good enough to stand with the crutches and swing my arms to putt. Liam’s friend Jacob came to the course today too. We played games on the putting green and it felt good to be able to participate in them. Games like fewest shots to put a certain hole; I also tried to chip but I was unsuccessful in doing so. Us at lunch. The glizzy grubbage.

Reflection

Quinlan Kerr  Senior Project  Kelly Griffen-Brown  11/16/22  Weekly Reflection  In my first week of senior project, I began my “internship” at the Country Club of New Hampshire with Liam Chapman. I learned a bunch of new things and new people. As I continue to get older I begin to realize the advantage of knowing different people and learning through others' experiences. At the course this week I was able to have a ton of fun and learn at the same time.  The first thing I noticed while at the course was not actually related to golf.  At the golf course, we always drive around the course and chat with golfers. As I have done that and just being around the course I have seen the Proctor connection in full effect. So many people I have talked to have some sort of connection to Proctor.
